There's a tailored x-pipe in there

We didn't find the need for mufflers. Sounds great without them.

Without getting redirected to a muffler, those valves will do absolutely nothing.

Incorrect, my friend. When the valve is closed, the exhaust gas is directed through the smaller diameter tubing. That reduction in tubing diameter slows down the exhaust flow reducing the volume of the exhaust.

When the valves are closed, the exhaust gas is directed through the smaller diameter tubing— of course it is. However, this short amount of slightly smaller diameter piping (where the exhaust gas is redirected thru) will make zero difference. It will be imperceptible in this case.

Appreciate the input, Win. It is quite evident in person, as well as the videos that there is a tone change when the valve state changes. To hear what I'm referring to, please scrub through to the 2:15 mark of the product video in the OP where you can clearly here the differences between valve states.

For the record, I'm truly not on here to hurt the thread. You seem super-responsive Josh which is a HUGE plus when it comes to customer service! On top of that, the exhaust sounds kick ass in the videos!

I'll say this last bit and leave it alone... I can't disagree with you that the tone changes as evident in the video, but the tone is a result of the engine being in Sport+ AND the exhaust button on (not the few inches of smaller diameter pipe it's getting redirected through). It changes the tune of the engine and exhaust behavior. Oddly enough, that exhaust button alone doesn't keep the valves open/closed.

I look forward to hearing more videos and new customer feedback!

No harm perceived, my friend. While your statement is accurate, the tone still changes between valve states. In the aforementioned time code, you can hear the valve doing its job (when closed) as it gives off the vacuum cleaner type sound, whereas when it's open, it's all thunder (yes, the burbles are introduced in sport mode, but I am not referring to them rather the tone heard under the burbles).

Most of the F90 M5s haven’t even been produced and sold yet...it will be on sale for like another 5 years.

Also, as someone who manages a performance shop, I’ll tell you that we modify a lot more cars that are 2, 3, 4 years old than brand new cars. People who buy brand new high end cars and immediately do mods seem common on forums but they are far from the majority. Most people get used to their car for a couple years or buy a car second-hand and then do mods.
