Looking for help with tire sizes!

Hello everybody!

I need some help with what tire sizes to go with for my F90. I'm switching from Pirelli to Michelin's, like many people have done on these forums, but can't decide which tire sizes to choose. I'm looking to fit these tires on stock comp 20" wheels.

Seems that some people go with 275/35/20f and 285/35/20r, and others go with 285/30/20f and 295/30/20r.

Any advice about with which size to go with, will be greatly appreciated

I would defo take your time and get this one right, I ordered the below:

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 285/35R20 104 Y XL, ZR
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 275/35R20 102 Y XL, ZR

The tyres are unreal for grip, but... the front ones are rubbing on the trim when I am full lock.

Think I will do 285/35 front and 305/35 rear. Just not sure if I will roll MPS4S or R888R. Car will be my fun car so thinking I will try to R888R for ultimate grip

That's too much difference between front and rear, it will not go good for your xdrive.

I would agree with euro* concerning xdrive - I am going with a 285/35R20 and 295/35R20 as this yields basically the same rotational delta as stock. The 285 and 305 option is outside my comfort zone as this car is my daily and will rack up the miles/Kms.

I don’t agree with that comment. Many owners are running 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear or 275/30/21 front and 295/30/21 rear. Mine are wider but the delta front to rear is almost identical.

Hockeytyme has the quickest M5 and runs 275/30 and 295/30.

There is an entire thread dedicated to this but I’m too lazy to find it and link

BMW even has a recommended winter setup in 265/40/19 front and 285/40/19
Rear. If that would damage xdrive would they recommend it?

Been running a 275/30/21 - 295/30/21 for over a year with zero issues.
