2020 M5 Comp with Non-Comp rear bumper?

Guys,
I am planning to purchase the 2020 M5 by this summer.
But was wondering if any of you experts can help provide some feedback on couple of options am thinking about:

- Is it possible to order a M5 Comp with Non-Comp rear bumper?

OR

- Is it possible to order a M5 Non-comp with Comp wheels?

Basically i like Comp wheels but NOT the black appron on the rear bumper!

I Heard you can submit such special wishes to BMW NA via the dealer but what are the chances of them getting approved?

Thanks!
Loki

The black apron is actually removable. It’s just diffuser

I actually didn’t like the look either on light colored cars

Just get it painted....it's pretty easy and quick to remove that rear valance.

See it anyone would do a swap?
Myself....I bought a gloss black lower valance off ebay for my non-comp pack car, there seem to be a few around (at least in the UK).
Thinking of putting my oem white back on though as I think I prefer it.
Or just buy a new one and have it painted, there aren't that pricey

To answer your questions, No and No (unless things have changed since I ordered my car).

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought based on your profile pic that you had the rear balance painted black and the tips chrome still.

I think it would look better with chrome exhaust tips.

It may be the reflectors, I don't know, but now at least you have two to swap between, which is a five minute job.

You just need a black spoiler on the trunk.

I think the black valance looks great on mid and dark colours but I feel that the contrast with white paint is too much.

Not even sure it’s that mate.

Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t look bad, just don’t know if better. Suppose it’s down to personal choice.

But you did the mirrors and they look great. Maybe the boot lip needs to match and bring it all together?

You’ve had a go, which is all we can do. I’m still not sure if I prefer the carbon pro-spoiler to my original lip, but it’s on now...

I say just paint the rear lower valence to color match the car and then replace the red side makers with honey comb and then get M performance Exhaust tips in CF.

I actually think he is right. Something just doesn't look right with it on the white. I think it's just the huge contrast to the eye between black and white....any other color with the black wouldn't look as bad. Compound this with black tips and it basically is a black blob at the bottom.....and that's not good because the F90's rear valance comes quite high up. Look at the M8 or other M models....their valances stop below that tow hook cover and those models look better in the rear in white (talking about the Comp ones) because the black isn't taking up half the trunk with this huge contrast.

This has been my concern with keeping the valance white and going to black tips. I feel they get lost to the eye because of the huge contrast between white and black. I feel the tips would almost be invisible in black against a white background. Looking at lots of pics of white M5's....the black tips look lost.

The F90 remind me of the 2009-2015 7 series with the M-Sport rears. Look at a white one....the valance is gray but it just comes way too high up and it looks disjointed in the back.

I'm seriously considering ordering an F90 Comp some time this year but I truly hate the black rear bumper on the Comp. If get an M5, it will be the Comp so base is not an option but I also don't wanna deal with getting that area painted on a brand new car. My only hope is that the LCI will have a different design but so far there are no signs of it.

According to forum experts.. getting the factory to paint the rear bumper black diffuser in the body color is close to impossible for a m5 comp model

Buy a spare and have it repainted.
I've changed mine back to the original valance.

I feel having the black rear valence helps to distinguish that u can comp over the standard M5. Its grown on me though along with the color I got for the car.
