If these are real, why does the grille emblem in image 3 say M3?

Yes, but that is always the case with the M5. The M3 usually (except the E36 and of course the E30 didn't have a power dome but had wide fenders) gets wider fenders and a hood "power" dome. The M5, which started life as a true Q-ship, has never had either. Although, with increasingly aggressive front spoilers and rear diffusers, the Q-ship aspect is in question these days...

Yeah, I saw that too. And I have to say some of the images have sort of "unreal" quality to them; I can't quite put my finger on it. One thing for sure, if these images aren't the real deal, they are not far off.

Ok BMW, you have me sold. As much I hate the fact that it has another S63xx engine, I'll be getting on in 4-5 years after LCI update. I think it looks pretty good. Only thing that looks weird to me are rear bumper reflectors. Interior looks awesome. Wish they had a more bespoke steering wheel though. Need to see some pics of back seat area with rear seat entertainment option.

Predictable as stated above but it's finaly nice to see the real deal... Gota say that the renders from bimmerpost were spot on..
Apart from that, this color is very nice but the chrome kidney needs to go
Love the interior, the seats ... are the trims a mix of carbon and brushed aluminum ? The part around the shifter appears to be carbon and the dashboard appears to be aluminium.
What are the rear tire set up ? I can see 275 at the front so I'm guessing 295 at the rear
This time around, I really hope that BMW will follow Audi & Merc and offer the option from start to spec your car with carbon trims (mirror, diffusor, lip, etc...)
Looking forward to see the specs and high res pictures

They really like those vertical reflectors on the rear. Looks nice overall. I like those red M1/M2 buttons - adds a bit of flair to that. I think I prefer our current M steering wheel though this new one seems rather subdued

At least in the US, we can get a lot of M Performance carbon fiber bits on most models as port installed options. These show on the window sticker and are residualizable in a lease, which makes them a pretty good deal for most who want pricey carbon fiber bits.

So much general hate leveled at this car for not being obnoxiously styled or overtly over the top. I for one like it. Though that blue is amazing IMO, I'd go stealthy in gray, add black kidney grilles and be drive it. Though I liked the F10 chassis, the G30/F90 chassis are much more svelte despite their overall dimensions, especially in person.

Not a spectacular and strong M. But that is judging it by it's cover. I guess the 4WD/2WD option is great addition. Not feeling the colour either. Love the seat, HATE the gearshifter, Looks like something from the E39 back in 96'...

Is this a return of Vader seats? Overall I really like it! Can't wait for the full roll out!

Looks identical to a M550i with different wheels...

Not sure why people are going crazy over styling as it is so tame. The interior is also way behind new Audi VC and Merc E class and this car is newer...
