Are you talking about the night vision?

I doubt that can be added, but if money is no object I guess anything is possible.

I believe that camera in the grill is for the 360 degree view.

don't see a photo but if its in the middle its for 360 and if its to the side its for night vision. Good luck adding either to a car that didn't come with it...Not an easy undertaking if even doable.

I have night vision in my Mercedes. The camera is located in the mirror housing at the top of the windshield, and there is a small notch cut out of the thermal layer inside the windshield glass to allow the IR light to pass through to the camera lens.

Is the BMW night camera not in the same place?

Wow I hadn't noticed that until now. I hopped over to the thread showing the 3 M5CS's in Poland to get a better look... So it looks like the M5CS ditches the 360 degree parking feature.

Weight savings!!!!!!!!!

If it’s true it doesn’t have it, it’s just another reason in my book the M5 CS is a silly vehicle.

ITS A TRACK CAR.

Why is this a mystery to everybody?

Did anybody bitch about this car NOT HAVING A STEREO?

And the M5 CS missing 360 parking camera's is off?

When I'm doing 160 down the back straight, trust me, I don't care. It's a very specific car for a very specific purpose. It's not a consumer car. It's just not.

Its overpriced and pointless, no idea why anyone would buy one over an M5C.

Take it from these posters in 2003, they knew what they were talking about.

Well, mine's on the way. I'm trading in my 18 M5 for it.

When I'm well over 150 mph in a three point restraint in my 2018, I don't feel really good about that.

With the CS, I'll be able to add at minimum four points without cutting up the car.

But, obviously, this is like asking people who don't box what brand of boxing gloves you'd like to use. If you don't track an M5, you will NEVER understand why the CS is a good buy.

The M5 CS would only be considered a track car, by someone who has never owned a true track car.

How are you doing 4-pt? Does Schroth make a quick connect setup? I had those in my E46 M3 and loved them.

You hit the nail on the head. To that point, the M5CS is a confused vehicle. If it's not a track car, then what is it? It's not a good daily car either. So then where does it fit? Is it a good weekend sports car? Not really. It's an M5 at heart, but without the M5 creature comforts.

It has some cool features, no doubt, and it's somewhat limited. But beyond that, the questions above still remain.

On my fifth car that I track regularly. I'm not going to defend it, because I don't really care what you think. So, make your point without trying to insult the person. If you can.

it's just another m5 for someone who feels like sitting it in a bucket seat with a v8, still be able to grab groceries, and may or may not want to try and cash in on a price hike sometime down the road. Thats the best i can come up with. All this chitter chatter about track nonsense is absurd.

Yes.

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...ck&FORM=HDRSC4

I've run into at least two other M5's at VIR, who hit it up REGULARLY. We put down pretty good lap times. Not 911 turbo times, but we absolutely smoke the stock M2's that come.

The M4 GTS's are a LITTLE faster. But. Not. Much.

Using all of the logic outlined above, the M4GTS is pretty much the only track car that BMW has ever made. Aero, full cage, adjustable suspension, etc. Everything else is just a street car, right? lol

The new M3 isn't a track car (based on the comments above) plus, isn't it only 100lbs lighter than the M5CS?

One could argue that no street car is actually a track car. It just depends on how thinly we want to split hairs.

Honestly, I find all of this funny. A bunch of people arguing about the purpose of a car that is being built in limited quantity. Like I've said before, the M5CS isn't built for the masses. All the people bashing it, saying it is silly, tend to be current M5 owners. Wonder why that is?

Pretty sure I can make this work. Just needed the pass throughs in the seats.
