Used it for the first time today and it was underwhelming, maybe I am retarded but it was slow and I have the recommended Bluetooth connection also, I did forget to turn off CarPlay if that makes a diffference in speed or not.

I did set video in motion, mirror tilt to 60% as the default was 93% which is an odd value. Still trying to work on remote control close the trunk and no-go.

How long did it take write the files for those changes and then for the ECU and the car to restart?

probably 5 minutes per change, i was doing one at a time and getting familiar with it. i am an impatient person. lol

here's a screenshot of what i thought to control the tailgate/rear trunk to activate it via the remote fob to close it. I thought it was "Close tailgate with the remote control without long press" as it was already active.

5 minutes per change seems about right. I also prefer not to do more than a few at a time.

I do believe that what you’ve posted is the option in BimmerCode for what you’re trying to achieve. Per our other conversation, I’ll confirm this tomorrow for you with phone and dongle!

OBDLink CX worked perfectly. I coded a few items, and then “Rolls Royce” interior sounds appeared to eliminate ALL dashboard sounds.

It was horrifying to realize my turn signal had no sound… and then… really nice. But I’m wondering what other (more important) sounds may also be gone…

So I have Video In Motion enabled, did the activation too. I plugged a usb drive into all 3 USB-C ports and it was never recognized in the Media menu. Anyone have any pointers why the usb drive isn’t recognized?

I had my friend code my 2023 M5 Comp and he was able to put Screen Mirroring back like my 2019 M5 had with iDrive 6. BMW has since removed it. I have a Galaxy S21 Android but can't get it to work using Smart View like I did with the 2019 M5. On the screen it says "Start Miracast" I tried a couple of Miracast apps but no luck connecting. Any ideas ?

Been out of the BMW game for about 4 years (F80 M3) and am back in an M5 LCI now. After reading this thread, it seems bimmercode is the new way to code VIM among other things? Can we also activate the Eurospec high beams as well?

Only if you want a partially enabled crippled system. For full activation, esys is needed.
