What size wheel spacers did you put on your M5?
I've started to research wheel spacers for my incoming M5 Comp, and would be curious to hear what sizes people on this board have gone with. It seems there is a little more room for larger spacers on the front wheels as compared to the back. From reading various posts I've seen some go as large as 13mm in the front and 12mm in the back. However, from what I could see it seems the 12mm spacers in the back could cause a problem with suspension travel and the tire rubbing against the fender...maybe it's just the angle of the pic...but I'd be concerned going that big in the back.
I was personally thinking 12mm in the front and 10mm in the back. Chime in with what you're running...spacer size and brand.

I have installed 11/11 on Quickburn7 and 15/11 on my other local customer with Nardo Grey.
H&R doesn't make 10mm unfortunately. Some is using 12mm on the rear. I would say 15/11 or 15/12 is perfect setup. Let me know if you need to get a hold of them. Got them in stock.

I found this thread you posted, but to me the 11mm spacers in the back look like they push the wheel out past the top edge of the rear fender... https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1566307

I’m running 10mm front and NONE in the rear. I installed the 10mm in the rear and didn’t like that the tires stick out just a hair. Without the spacers in the rear, they match the front tires with 10mm’s. Perhaps a little conservative but with the KW HAS springs installed, the fit is perfect.

But KW HAS, had them on M5 F10 and liked them, and curious to hear how they are like on F90 and whether my Regular M5 Non Comp will be TOO HARSH? How harsh are we talking? Like M5C? Or more, also does it affect handling that much or it's purely aesthetics? Thanks sir

I have 15f/12r with KW HAS. Fit is perfect and ride quality is near stock. Can't tell the difference at all to be honest

The rear is near perfect stock. I've seen cars with H&R spacers and the rears look to be sticking out beyond the fender. |

I agree the rear looks perfect as is w/o spacers. Looks like on the front you could even go a little larger than 10mm to maybe 12mm or 13mm and still be inside the wheel arch without any problem.

The drop is light via H&R F90 specific springs. No rub and tugs here.

Vic55 I'm curious, if you stuck a yardstick flat across the rear wheel (oriented vertically), would the stick touch the fender or would there be a gap? It looks like the wheel is outside of the fender a little (at least from the angle the pic was taken from)

With the naked eye looking down from the top of the fender, there are a few mm of distance.

Good to know...cause I agree the pics make it seem like both wheels stick out past the top of the front and rear fenders.

I reckon 10mm or 12mm for the front is spot on, but I don't think the back needs anywhere near that much. A 5mm spacer maybe, but certainly nothing more.
It's the front wheel that is really tucked in and needs to come out. The rears are actually pretty good how they are. I'd sooner leave them be than put use a spacer that's too big. It makes the car look weird. |
