The Future of BMW and the 4th Reich

I thought I'd start a thread about the future of BMW.

Lately I've been amazed at how aggressive and ambitious BMW has become.

In the passenger car segment which includes coupe/convertible/sedan/wagon/hatchback we have the 1, 3, 5 , and 7 series cars.

In the SUV (SAV) segment we have the X3, X5, and possibly who knows an X7.

In the sports car segment (dear to my heart) we're looking at a Z2, Z4, Z6, and the Z9 supercar.

And last but not least we have the personal luxury car segment with the 6 series coupe and convertible.

There's 4, 6, 8 , 10 and 12 cylinder engines. Some with turbochargers.

There's auto, manual, and SMG gearboxes.

There's M series cars within the various segments.

I personally find all of this to be unprecedented in the history of automobile manufacturing. Hence the 4th Reich.

There's also a single common element amongst all of these cars which is the Chris Bangle styling cues. The most notable is obvious when you look at a 3/4 front view of these cars. The coolest thing is that the Z4 is the predecessor to all of this.

So who's gonna buy a Z2 or wait for the new Z4?

I don't see me in the smaller Z2---this one is already almost a bit too feminine for me. As for the 2009 Z4, who knows... I wouldn't mind a folding hard top as long as it isn't too ugly with it up. Are there any images out there? All I can find is this mule:

What about the 2008 Z4? Is that for sure gonna happen? And is it gonna look the same as the 2007?

Not sure, from the article I posted:
"Look for the 2009 BMW Z4 to make an official debut early next year with sales in the U.S. starting by the fall of 2008."
