Rennstand Jack Stands
Recently had to jack up the car and realized without the front and rear center jack points or exposed frame, you’re stuck trying to get the jack and jack stand under the same spot.
Found (and bought) these Rennstand jack stands that are a clever solution to the problem and thought worth sharing. Basically the jack stand center piece works as a jack pad then you slide the legs in and can remove the jack. Hard to explain. This YouTube video is easier. |

how tall is your jack? I have enough problems getting mine under the car having to use 45 pound plates to raise up the front end.

These look great. Looked for a supplier in the UK, but there isnt one. Would have to order from the USA.

I might need to get a lower profile jack then, doubt my M550i with OEM M Pro suspension is lower than an M5.

Those look like they are for a pinch weld. Mine are solid blocks. See link:

I bought these, insanely expensive, not sure if they’re worth their price but they do work damn well.

This is how I feel. I think I'm going to buy two more though, since I can just buy adapters and use for other vehicles in the future. Make tire rotations that much easier

I might buy one more but I can’t justify having four of these. Hella easy to jack up the front of my car now, this thing really makes it easier. The front the rear jack points are pretty awkward to get to, especially difficult for me because my car is lowered by an inch.

I bought a set of these as well. Very pleased!
I sold my old quick jack (did not fit my current vehicles), which paid for the Rennstands. It's nice to have my garage floor back. While I haven't used on the M5 yet, I just did a brake fluid change on my kids' cars and it took minutes to set up the Rennstands. Much faster than the quick jack, which is a bit fiddly to line up. |
