Hello all. About to pick up my first M5 and am trying to figure out my best options for warranty. It is a 2018 and has 3 months left on the original warranty (expires end of August). I wanted to possibly get an extended warranty, but then also saw something regarding a maintenance plan? I wasn't quite sure if it made sense to get just one or both? Finally, I wanted to get a Dinan tune, and wondering how (if at all) that would affect an extended warranty.

I will be waiting until July to make a decision and utilize the original BMW warranty before getting an extended.

If you're planning to do dinan don't get an extended warranty…also dinan warranty won't apply to you since it only applies while car is under factory warranty

Yeah tune voids warranty if you have a claim. I am in same boat have a ‘18 coming out of warranty in August - but not willing to spend $6K for just in case.
