Yeah there are tons of cars waiting at the port because of a stop sale. My car is waiting to install a part in the audio module receiver.
This is kind of the norm now.

There are a lot of cars waiting at port for the Receiver Audio Module (RAM).
I have been in the market for either a M550 and M5 for a couple months and there were a number of dealers that had cars that had been waiting at the port for this for a couple months. One dealer I spoke to had almost 30 cars sitting at port waiting for the RAM retrofit. With all of the delays and shortages I wound up getting a used '21 M5 instead. |

I was told my M5C would arrive at the VPC on Thursday and then would also have to wait for a missing audio module. It hope it's not a Sirius related module. I couldnt care less about that

Mine waited 6 weeks at port for this audio module. Simply a parts shortage. Only thing I can add is to make sure they have it listed as priority 1 meaning it's a sold car with a customer's name attached to it. But at this point, I think all cars are pre-sold especially M5's.

Same but not the same.
Our 2022 540i was just dispatched from the factory today. When I called last week, the car hadn't moved in 16 days, I asked the Genius if there was a possibility of a "stop sale" when the car arrived here at the Perf Center and was told "no, no stopsale, we would already know about that and it's not tagged as such. :fingerscrossed: |

Mine was scheduled for 10/28 at the VPC. That day the VIN info switched from open to closed on the receiver audio module issue in that BMW Recall Info Tool app. Got a call from my dealer the next day that it will be here next week. Hopefully it's as quickly resolved for the rest of you guys.

I asked them what about the stop sale? They didn't know anything about the stop sale and reiterated that from what they can see, my car will be arriving at the dealership today. I don't have to tell you that of course that never happened and my car's stop sale is indeed still open. Btw you can check with your vin number on this link to see when the stop sale is closed. https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/...73CH02NCJ11918

Mine was 6 weeks held up back in May because it was shipped without the motion sensor keys.
Seems pretty normal right now. Frustrating, but normal.
