Blind Spot

Is it just me or does anyone else notice a profound blind spot from the drivers side door mirror. Most noticeable when making a left. I'd like to figure something out pretty dangerous. Never had an issue in any other car I have owned.

It's not a blind sport from the side or behind. It's a blind spot created by the mirror obscuring vision of anything to the front and left in this case. I guess the only fix is to raise the seat which I did. I prefer to sit lower, but at least a solution.

I have no blind spots. Set your mirrors up correctly as race cars do and you essentially remove all blind spots and never need to shoulder check and you can rely on your mirrors and peripheral vision 100%.

Wait what? No sarcasm here but are you saying you're concerned by the fact you. And see through the side view mirror housing itself?

The OP is not talking about blind spot on mirror, he is saying that the M mirror kind of blocks vision, and I do agree, alone with the hood bulge. I also have a regular 5er and I can feel the difference between them.

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. I pull out of my street to turn left- and twice I've stopped short and was in shock I didn't notice a car that seemed like 15 ft away coming at me.

The passenger mirror and the pillar connected the roof to the mirror (I forget the letter designation for it) do create a perfect blind spot for a car at the perfect distance away to seem "not there"

I can see how that could be a problem with the seat reclined way back so your head is just above dash level. I see kids driving that way regularly. They also like to have one hand on the top of the steering wheel and lean a little towards the center of the car.
