i used to want Interlagos until i saw king tuts' and i was sold on Le Mans blue, it is so sexy and the volks give it the finishing touch!!!!

Le Mans is almost classic by now. It was epic on the E39 M5...

Thanks to BMWE34M5, I've finally been able to get pictures of Interlagos and Lemans side-by-side. The colors are even closer than I thought. They were taken at the CCA meeting at NA headquarters on June 19. (Great Event!)
The car with 18's is Interlagos (mine), and the one with 19's is Larry Koch's Lemans. The difference is only slightly greater in real life. Interlagos is a little darker and has a bit of purple in it. For me, it was very difficult to tell the difference in some light conditions.

thanks for those shots...although in dark lighting they do look very similar. direct sunlight definitely reveals them as separate colors. still not very sure why BMW decided it was so important for two blues when several other good colors aren't even available. odd color decisions for the ///M

Thanks for the pics. Not sure you can go wrong with either one. No wonder people have trouble telling from pics of them alone.

+1. They need to get a yellow in there to balance out the standard color choice. maybe phoenix yellow, lol
