Brushed aluminum window trim
Every market except the US offers a $0 option for brushed aluminum window trim. For the color schemes I've been looking at, I think this would be a better look than the standard shadowline trim. Has anyone in the US succeeded in ordering this option? Is it straightforward to retrofit?

I would assume the non M - 5 series window trims would fit the m5 if you really wanted it done. And I know they come in the non black/shadow line finish.
With that said - my understanding is that swapping window trim while possible is not that inexpensive to do. I know this because I wanted to get my wife's Macan swapped from the brushed aluminum to black and was told it's extremely labor intensive by two dealers and one local shop. I would imagine swapping the BMW trims would be equally laborious. |

The trim isn't brushed but rather satin aluminum. |

Thanks! Fascinating... do you know if they can use this method to order other things not visible in the US configurator, like ceramic controls?
