I just wish new X5/6 had little slimmer tail lights...
They are so big and obnoxious. |

Sweet seats, another greatly improved interior. What's with all the lights in the front? Overdoing front fascia seems to be the new MO.
And it seems we are sticking with the bimmerpost convention of comparing bland, real-life shots of the old model with photoshopped studio shots of the new. |

Finally the new XM gets proper M seats and not just the regular model's m sport seats. The old model did not distinguish itself much from the lessor models.

curious about the weight & actual performance. Since the E70 was rated at 4.5 sec to 60 yet actually did it in 4.0, I wonder if the new one will really dip below 4 seconds or will it just compensate for any weight increases...

Wheel arch flare
Does anyone know if the wheel arch flare out is more on the F15M vs M sport models ?
From pics it does look like the wheel arches are identical to normal models Tough choice ahead M50d or X5M ..... Brain or emotion?

Who agrees with me on this evaluation of the rear of the X6M
I Love the New X6M. I am a former owner of a X6M. But lower back of the car looks awkward. The exhaust diffuser looks odd with little design to it and makes the exhaust set up look odd, I like the back of the previous X6M better. Also the side scoop on the rear looks cool and all but with that giant reflector, it makes the car look ugly. They should of left that as a breather for the car, IND is definitely going to have to have a reflector delete for that with matching color to the car. But the top portion of the back is great. But overall the Old X6M front bumper and BACK of it was perfect for me. Either way I like the new X6M its gorgeous and will purchase it once my M5 lease is done.

Because it has that "Dear God, what is that thing? !!!" kind of effect on people. I could imagine one in bright green, with a license plate that says "HULK".

Both look much sharper than their predecessors. New design is finally making sense to me when I see these.
Only gripe is the that the sideline doesn't carry right through from front to back ( don't know what the proper technical term is for that). Not a fan of having 2 separate creases (or what ever they are called). Other than that these are real proper bmw stunners. Finally has the wow factor of the new 4 series and 6 series. |
