EBC Brakes: Yellow Stuff - Fast Street Pads
Well I was getting really tire of the OEM sqeal and brake dust from the BMW M brake pads. I decided to switch it up to EBC. After speaking with them, I landed on the Yellow Stuff. My driving style is daily driving, some canyon driving, and rallies. I rarely track the car.
So far after a week, there is no squeal at all. That includes heavy braking and slow braking. Brake dust is minimal, COMPARED to what the OE pads produced. https://ebcbrakes.com/products/ebc-y...pads/#discover |

I had these on my M4 and loved them. I can't comment on how the feel is for irons on the M5 because I have CCBs. In the M4 cold bite and initial bite were similar. The OEM brakes strated out strong and would become soft and lose friction as the temps rose. If memory serves me right, the DOT brake codes for OEM were "GF" and the Yellows were "GG." I also had no squeaking with those pads.

I have the red stuff pads on mine as of about 2 weeks ago. No discernable dust, and after a little break in mileage there is 0 squeal. My car is finally not embarrassing to drive

What’s the difference between yellow stuff and red stuff?
Also how do you think these might compare to the Isweep. A few people that have the Isweep here say the same about them. Wondering which direction to go as I need a solution fast too. Thanks! |
