Compared with the X1, the X3 is 60mm wider in exterior width, but only 5mm wider in rear interior width. Also more headroom in the X1

Yeah the more sloped roof makes the X1 look as wide as the X3 from the rear. The X3 overall looks bigger, mainly from the extra height I think. X1 must be making better use of the available space because I don't see why they would need it any higher with the more-than-ample headroom already.

argh, this is killing me. Still sitting somewhere west of Africa. This will take forever! I fear you were right ttimbo - stalking it doesn't help at all.
How long did your dealers take to get the car ready for you after the shipped docked in? |

Changed the front fog globes last night to 8700K ones. Makes a big difference in looks. Not an exact match, still a fraction less white than the LEDs, but then the LED lights are almost bluish-white.
Also coded the fog lights to function as additional cornering lights. Haven't been able to code them as welcome lights though. Last edited by PF1; 04-18-2016 at 06:35 AM.. |

Not sure if you mean installing the bulbs or the coding so I'll answer for both.
Bulb replacement instructions are in the manual but it didn't look intuitive at first. So took me a while to figure out how to remove it but once I did, the second one was easy enough. The coding I did myself also, along with many other things I've coded now. Again took some learning and playing with the software but after 2 days I'm already quite confident with it. |

Also I thought the car already had cornering lights of some sort? Is this just in addition to the ones already programmed? |

Yeah there are already cornering lights - you can see the light in the inner corner light up, directed outwards. So these are in addition to those. |

The GP Thunder ones are pretty common and come in 7500K (?) as well I think which is less blue but may be more durable. H8, 12V, 35W |
