Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Per online it says ecm/pcm can bus wiring issue I have down pipe w tune. Seeing if I need to take precautions if needing to take in for servicing |

Hey, we tried replacing the valve in the picture ( per my BMW tech) and also change a couple of things with the tune but still go the light/ code today .... 😣

Likely torque intervention code. The TCU triggers this DTC when it doesn't receive torque information from the ECU for more than 2 seconds. Would explain why tuned cars are having the issue. The tuner didn't adjust the torque tables correctly for the given power output.

This DTC has nothing to do with the idle functions in the ECU. The TCU is what triggers the code, not the ECU. Per OBD, this is a "PCM" error -- Powertrain Control Module (otherwise known as the TCU).
