Evolve said that the stock rods are safe around high 700 crank torque.

Hmmm... that would 595 wheel torque (figuring 15% drivetrain lose). I believe that is about as conservative as you can get. Definitely safe though!

Yeah, stock I believe is about 550lb-ft at the wheels. That's even more conservative than numbers mentioned in the pure turbo thread.

In this reply they are talking about HP not torque.

Many of them with proper torque limit at low rpm are running with 700-720wtq without issues.

I’ve never seen a tune that keeps torque at only 600wtq, they almost make that stock.
