Stuck in QC for 20 days

My 2022 M5C stuck in quality check since Nov.9, but there are no issues and changes happened. I got so confused why the QC could last for over three weeks!!

My M5C was stuck nearly 3 months, currently at the NJ port over 3 weeks.

My M5C which was originally scheduled for production earlier this month, then delayed to January production, now to my surprise just got listed as "Production Begins" (in queue).

From what I've seen, most experienced about 14 days from this point for production to be listed as complete, and then about an additional month from then for the car to hit the dealer.

Does any one know when the factory and shipping shuts down for the holidays and for how long?

That's so sad bro! I hope you can get the car by the end of the year!

So are all 2022 M5's being held for 3 weeks automatically or ?

I am thinking of ordering one....I don't want to wait 4 months for this car, though.

What if they have an allocation for a build right away?

I had an allocation in June and my car entered actual production in mid-November. The production date was pushed back several times.

I would not take much at face value in terms of BMW and production dates.

I'm not sure if things have improved but it does not seem that way from what I've heard recently.

Cars are also sitting at the port for extended periods of time for chip related issues such as the RAM.

Mine is currently sitting at Port and has been there for a week .. I'll provide an update when it leaves the Port.

Same, mine has been sitting at the port since 12/04 with RAM stop sale and no ETA as to when it will be resolved.

Looks like I might be forced to pay over MSRP for one in stock then. I can't even believe I'm saying that.

If I put a deposit down for a build, can they make that non-refundable or no?

My dealer put it in writing that my deposit is refundable. My car is at the US port now, I placed my order with a modifiable build (allocation) at the end of July. No idea how long it will be hung up in Galveston. If others are any indication, it’s going to be another 3-4 weeks. Or 1 lol.

they can, but i dont think you should go to any dealer who makes this non refundable. Unless you spec a car thats an odd build.

In this current market, if you flake for whatever reason, dealer would have no problem selling. So i dont see why a deposit should be non refundable
