Best Lug Nut Socket for 2020 M5C

Any suggestions best lug nut for our OEM wheels? Deep enough and non-scratching if possible.

Also, I did not notice any lug nut socket included with the car--2020 M5C (I am the original owner).

Thanks!

My wife has a 2018 M550i and it came with a spare, jack, lug nut wrench and other tire changing tools. I used the jack and wrench when I needed to remove one of my wheels. The jack works great. It fits perfectly in the jack supports. The wrench works well also. There is nothing to prevent banging the wrench against the wheels. Some shops wrap these with tape. I think if you are careful you should be able to avoid damage.

Many years ago I purchased the Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 1/2 In. Drive Super High Torque Lug Nut Impact Socket Set 11 piece from Harbor Freight. There are protective sleeves around the socket to protect the insert area of the wheel. Worked great for protecting my wheels when I changed out the stock brake pads to the Porterfield pads.

I bought these last year when I switched from winters to summers. They do their job well but wore out quite a bit after only one use

Thank you for the excellent suggestion!

In the past I have had similar sockets on a case – by – case basis.

This time I just purchased a 1/2" Drive 17mm, deep socket and will use electrical tape to help avoid scratches.

Also, I contacted my local BMW Dealer and they do not sell any such part.

Don't over complicate this. Amazon will do just fine and provide 100s or options.
