Latest Production Date for CS

Was able to secure a CS from my dealer but they were unable to provide me with a production # or VIN # and they were unsure of the production date. For those in the know, what is the latest production date you have seen for a CS?

A while back I heard someone say that they got a January build slot.

My dealer got 3 allocations. Mine was July, they have a September slot and a November slot (both spoken for).

As far as I know, all production slots were released at the same time so they should know what month production is, I think.

If they don't have a production number, they don't have the allocation. The latest one we have is week 43 in October. Production numbers and production weeks are released with the allocations.

I agree here. Sounds like they are attempting to secure one from another dealer but haven't gotten one as yet.

in addition to what was already said, do NOT leave a deposit until you get a production number. Because right now, that CS does not exist..

Meh. Deposits are refundable. Quite possible the dealer is trying to secure an allocation from either a different dealership or from BMWNA. Would suck if he didn't get the car because he didn't put down a refundable deposit.

Thanks for the replies! Was able to get the status codes on two CS's from my dealership. 111 and 102. Hoping my name is on the 111 and hopefully it will be 2021

my point is he would just be wasting time with leaving a deposit if the dealer didn't have one and they would be stringing him along while he could go after a real car that exists.

I'm guessing its Canadian, based on the dash showing metric system, (kilometers & celsius), English language iDrive, and the license plate holder

Do the cars with matte paint not have the protective white film on the hood, roof and trunk like all other ones? Mine was fully wrapped.

Just confirmed my production date and it is scheduled for the second week of January 2022... not sure if anyone has a later date.

I called and was told that a production date is no longer available for my car. So back to a holding pattern at Order Received.
