I did my spark plugs they weren't as bad as I thought they'd be you definitely need a 10-12 inch extension. All you have to do it remove couple screws holding ecus in place on both sides. I'd say definitely try it let me know if you have any questions.

My mechanic said he didn't have to move the antifreeze tank on the driver side. He said just had to unplug DMEs. I did it on my F10 M5 and as far as visually it seems easier on the F90. I just got lazy to do it on F90.

So what is the benefit of 2 steps colder and what plugs to use? How would I know if the mechanic did correct gapping?

A bootmod3 tuner and a couple other mechanics who work on F90's said just go OEM plugs. They recommended .024 and even stock gap. Other F90's running stage 2, bought oem same gap as mentioned and they are running good. The ones I got from a BMW parts store were like .026-028. I gapped them to as close as .024.

Just tell the mechanic to gap them or you can buy them and gap them yourself.

On the F10 M5 platform everyone was going a step colder so I followed the suggestions.

Hope this info helped.

That's a great deal! Yeah, I guess it depends on the tuner. I think I heard Mo from DME say to go a step colder. Both seem to work fine.

Oh I think I know who you are. Are you the admin on the FB F90 Enthusiast forum?

Nice care btw. I'm trying to dial my car in too for spring/summer. I'm currently running Bootmod3 OTS but want a little more power. I was going to try DME but I like how HCP will revise the map after a couple of datalogs. I heard DME doesn't offer this.

Correct that's me. Evolve does the same if u get logging added to your tune package. There master tuner will log the car and make adjustments. His opinion is that once I do this I can be under 6 sec 60-130 as my current best is 6.13 plus i run e45 so cooler plugs would be better.

Great feedback. Yes that is my goal too to break 6's, which HCP did with their e30/e40 custom tune; that's no meth too.

Have you considered trying meth? I only know of local guy who is running it; there are others I don't know personally. I'd run it, just to keep IAT's down, but not for added power.

I have never done it. Have heard about it. Will like to know more how safe it is? And how complicated it is to set up and cost?

Same. I'm going to wait for Project Gamma ones too. I'm running their intakes and dp. Sam's great to work with. I'm sure that will help to keep the IAT's down.

I'm in Austin. So in a month or so he should have test unit. He will reach out to me and will update. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome.
