Took a few hours of much needed "me time" yesterday and went to Bal Harbor in Miami. I've been meaning to re strap my AP 15400. As I'm sure some of you know- these bands become horrendous smelling after time/sweat/oil and dirt from your skin set in.

Decided to try something different. I've had 3 blacks straps, decided the fourth time around to go grey.

* I know it's got scuffs and scratches, after the new year I'll be sending it to AP for its service.

Love the clock in the background. Gerald Genta really did design some of the very best. The royal oak bracelet is the real deal… arguably the best in the game.

I focus almost exclusively on the Nautilus and Aquanaut lines of Patek…but much respect for the AP Royal Oak…. Not so much for that Code whatever lol from AP. With that said Patek makes and has made some watches that put me to sleep as well.

Mr. Genta set the bar so high with the bracelet, and the Royal oak and nautilus designs that I just don't see how it's possible to put do those.

I do agree about the bracelet. My rose gold was my first piece of the brand. I will say that the stainless is my preferred watch to wear solely because of the bracelet. It just miles to you wrist so perfectly. It has such an iconic look and feel.

The wall clock was fun to chase after for a few weeks. I had been on the unlucky side of a transaction with a previous one. It arrived and was so fake that I was insulted it was even considered to be good enough to try lol.

Agreed on code 11.59 or whatever it is. I was SO disappointed when i it was first revealed. Like- what?!
The current luxury item market isn't ideal for first time Patek Phillipe buyers. But hopefully when the prices come back from the moon, I'd love to add a version of an Aquanaut to my box. Actually- I know exactly which one as I fell in love the second I saw it. But the price tag was more than my first condo I purchased and lived in lol

Yea I went to a launch party for the Code thing and it was a real letdown (though the event itself was impressive) couldn't imagine buying one. It's nothing against AP because Patek makes and has made pieces I wouldn't wear as well. I have come across people who naively think wearing a AP or PP crap version is like a royal oak or nautilus/aquanaut. It's like the guy in the X1 who thinks he's rocking an M5C. Same brand but laughable.

I'm curious which aquanaut you are set on? I'm a big fan. I am close to securing a 5968 which I'm pretty jazzed about. I am also a fan of the 5164. I was given the choice and went 5968 for my next aquanaut. I really struggled with this choice.
