Break in for LCI

Folks - if anyone is curious, here is the latest I got for my LCI break in. Seems light.

Of course my un-informed service advisor proceeds to tell me they will activate additional horsepower.

Did they change the front and rear differential fluid? Those use to require two different oils. Where is the regular oil change?

How did you get to 1200 miles already. I am only at 700.

They are no longer doing the front axle differential oil. I saw someone else posted the same on another thread.

I also had my break in service performed today with identical scope.

So they no longer need to change front differential oil but they change the rear differential oil.

: Does not make sense to me. They use to change it and now they don't??

Not required by BMW post some date on 2020; found a bunch of posts confirming. One example below.

I had my 1200 mile break in service done yesterday and I don’t know if they deactivated the running in check item. How do you tell if they did so you have the extra horsepower other than seat of pant performance? I did get the new software download on Thursday and don’t know what caused it but i do not have the M mode dash or heads up display now. Going back to dealer on Monday to find out answers to both questions.

Also rear diff and engine oil changes only. No front diff as others have stated

How did you get carbon black on your 21 m5 comp? Did it cost you the $5k for the signature color? Just curious as I wanted CB also but didn’t t want to wait or pay.
