G-Power V2 downpipes and tune
I installed G-Power's V2 "750hp" tune and downpipes (with a single sports catalyst on each downpipe) on my 2018 M5. I also installed an Eventuri intake and Eisenmann standard exhaust with their non resonated center section. Here are my results (same dyno, stock vs after all mods, 5th gear, ECM Dynocom Dyno).
Stock: 569 wheel hp 544 wheel ft/lbs 80 db peak sound idle reving After Mods: 671 wheel hp 674 wheel ft/lbs 84 db peak sound idle reving Drivability is great, outside the increased exhaust noise you can't tell it isn't stock until you go deep into the throttle. Car is much louder now with much more turbo noise coming from both front and rear. Idle reving does it no justice, the car needs to be under some load to understand how it sounds. I haven't seen much posted on G-Power so I thought I'd share my results. If you are interested talk to Edmond at EasyB Car Solutions in Katy Texas. He is an authorized US G-Power dealer and can upload the tune remotely. I did mine from Florida remotely with him. Great customer service, I highly recommend him if you want to go with G-Power. |

Was about 8k for catted downpipes and tune but G-Power was running a 35% off sale on the tune when I bought. EasyB's prices are totally reasonable. If u check out G-Power's website and change the euro sign to dollars that is about what u will pay.

I only wish we could see the incremental gains at each step. I don't suppose you have that do you? |

Sorry, I don't have incremental dyno numbers. The dyno is about 50 miles from my house plus I suspect the Eisenmann exhaust and Eventuri intake are mostly a sound upgrade. I'm sure most all of the gains are from the downpipe and tune.

Why not go for the turbos also with all this?
I assume then this replaced the upper and lower downpipes both? Also was there any thought as to going with sport cats vs no cats? I guess it should pass emissions then and reduce the chances of the fumes, right? |

I just didn't want to drop the money on the new turbos. The car sounds right and is silly fast, couldn't justify the big extra cost for 50ish more hp.
I thought about going catless but I was concerned it might be too loud and I wanted to give it a chance at passing emissions without throwing the stock hardware back on. It does replace the upper and lower downpipes with a single piece. It has a single high flow cat where the stock upper sits. No lower cat. Fit was perfect. I was able to swap them out myself in about 6-7 hours. |

I just did a Velostune stage 2 and got 545WHP from the dyno. I need to get these downpipes but they are about $2700-$5K. How much more WHP do you think I will get if I install these downpipes?

Highly doubt it. Hard to find M5 before and after cat delete dyno's, but on the C7 Z06 with 650 HP there
is 15-20rwhp max. M5 will spool the turbos quicker without cats, but the DME targets total airflow so the gain up top will be limited. If I were in Vegas, the F90 bet would be 15 rwhp maximun due to the DME. |

I have two turbos in my X5 that have been tuned and your recommendation is to stay with stock pipes? The airflow is being restricted with these stock dp’s And exhaust. All I ever hear is “get your car tuned with downpipes”... You’re the first person to advise this. Anyone else want to chime in??
