I was wondering this too. Apparently if you're an existing customer then he best deals are found on those Sky stands that are in shopping centres.
Theres a lot of issues with Sky Q though. Connectivity losses, frequent resets seem almost the norm when reading Sky forums

Thats what I'm going to do. I bought myself a new 4k TV a few weeks ago and will at some point upgrade to Q. Sometime in the summer Q will start broadcasting 4k so hopefully they've fixed the issues by then. It would seem they've rushed the system to the market to try and counter BT / Netflix etc which have 4k content already.

I'm not really bothered about 4K tbh, sky HD isn't even in 1080p yet!

The Q box is 1080p at the moment. HD picture for the movie channels will be improved on 8th July to coincide with the change of name to Cinema.

Got Q, it's good but yes it does hav teething issues and the interface can be irritating, even the sky installer who was a beta tester was irritated by it.

what annoys me is they say pause on one tv and pick up where you left over in another room, this is a lie, it's only on recorded programs, not live tv.

And it doesn't come on to tv it comes on to the home screen, this is one of the biggest irritations. Oh and the amount of button presses just to get to the hd tv guide.....

I wonder what impact that will have on sky's broadband network?

Will their capacity management handle what the sales people sell to customers?

None, it still transmits via satellite. Broadband is just for on demand etc.

I think Q is great - on 2 of our 4 mini boxes. The other 2 keep hanging and shutting down.

I have a Sky engineer coming tomorrow, or Tuesday, or Monday, depending which confirmation message I believe. Customer service not improved!

Just done all this in the last couple of days... My complaints were the lack of champions league and still paying the same for 3 year old equipment that was out of guarantee.....

Just cancelled waited 3 weeks ignoring emails and phone calls... Then this week went on chat and got the 50% off for 12 months but also managed to not to enter into a new agreement so am able to cancel whenever if required....

Also have KODI on my fire stick which sort of negates sky movies etc

Just cancelled mine too - we're paying £92 pcm for just about everything and multiroom. Was offered 25% off during online chat (did it this way as SWMBOs name is on the account and they'd only speak to her on the phone) - mentioned others I knew were offered 50% and was told that they couldn't compare my account (we've been with them for 12 years and I reckon that's nearly £10k they had during that time) to others and that 25% was the best he could offer.

So I have gone ahead with cancellation for 9th August. Missus is now bricking it that she won't be able to watch Love Island and the Kardashiens anymore and she's the name on the account. I've told her that under no circumstances is she to accept any offers less than 50% off when they contact her (they also have her mobile number and email address) but I do worry that she'll cave in over the phone.

Did look into Kodi but brother-in-law reckons the streaming for live football (my main use of Sky) is pretty poor and popular matches often buffer throughout - can anyone confirm this?

Quick question for those of you who've managed 50% off - did you have just tv (and if so which packages) or was it phone and broadband too?

Update: Now at 35% off via tv / sky website!

I have about 2 months to run on my current 50% off deal. That's for the full package and 1 multiroom. I don't have Sky BB.
You could check the Sky service app as sometimes there's a half price deal on that.
In any case just google 'return to Sky chat' and say you've received a 50% off and £50 credit. Might also be worth asking about returning with a Sky Q package?

Garage List
I've recently cancelled mine and have followed through with the cancellation process. Have been offered 50% off TV only which I'm not accepting.

Have got a Kodi box and took broadband with Plusnet. Will see how that fares and if the Kodi isn't up to scratch I'll negotiate a TV only package with Sky.
