Drivers Assistance Plus Package

What are people's opinion about this package? Is it worth the money? If you had it do over would you spec it this time?

If you go through traffic a lot. I'm in nyc so always useful to just kick it into auto pilot and just let the thing roll

I find it very useful for sitting through stop & go traffic, which I do quite often on my daily commute, and sometimes I do like using the adaptive cruise for longer road trips on the highway. The lane keep assist works well and is better at actually following the road smoothly than the system in my Audi and Range Rover. It’s nearly as good as Tesla’s autopilot. But if you don’t frequently encounter such driving situations, then the package is probably not worth it.

I would absolutely get it again. Like others said above, it works very well and is very convenient on long road trips where it will manage your speed automatically with the traffic. It can drive itself basically like a Tesla if BMW unlocked the features

If you have the active cruise control on in slow traffic speeds the car follows the car in front of you, not so much the lane markers. It works very well. I think the following mode actually is more reliable than the lane marker sensing since the 'car' can see the other 'car' better than the faded road lines.

I agree. The active cruise control is great but the lane keep assist is almost worthless.

Actually, I find it really useful sometimes. If for any reason I have to take my eyes off the road, the active cruise and lane control is awesome. Just good enough to let me quickly deal with my phone or hand something to my kids.

And generally active cruise control is especially handy.

I think it's well worth it, even for resale value alone. Plus, blank buttons bug me...
