Anyone regret Silverstone Merino Leather?

I'm spec'ing out my M5C and I really want Silverstone Merino Leather but I remember what a nightmare it was on a friend's car. Blue denim marks all over his seat...

How is your leather holding up? Any regrets?

The jean's are leaving a mark, no doubt, but so far it's merely a matter of rubbing it off with a damp microfibre cloth. For me, this annoyance is well worth it--the look of these two-tone seats is beautiful!

Thanks for the response bud. Is it easy to get the dye out with some leather cleaner?

It's a love/hate I have with Silverstone. It looks great no doubt but the maintenance on keeping it looking great is a killer. This is my first vehicle with light interior and most likely my last. I do regret sometimes on not getting Aragon brown. But again it's a personal choice. If you don't mind keeping up with the maintenance on it then go for it. But if your looking for an interior with minimum maintenance Silverstone is not for you my friend.

Not so far. I've not even used product, just water.

I love Aragon Brown but I feel like the exterior color options I'm looking at don't pair well with it

I use gyeon leather shield along with every few month cleaning and seems to hold up well. Slight rubbing off from jeans but nothing that is noticeable to someone that isn't staring at the seat

Had the F10 M5 with Silverstone. Just wiped the leather down regularly and turned it back in three years later looking fantastic.

I have Silverstone extended leather in my F10(50,000 miles). I clean mine about twice a year. I use Mother’s foaming leather wash with a soft paint brush to clean the leather and then wipe with a micro fiber afterwards. My center armrest gets the dirtiest. Once I clean using this method it looks brand new. I’ve ordered my F90 with Silverstone based on my experience.

How about solving it with a nice plastic cover like grandma's white couch?

...I went with boring black...

Quickburn7 has Full Silverstone on his M5 daily driver. He has posted pics on this forum of how his interior has held up...which is very good, BTW. I'd highly recommend going Full Silverstone or Full Aragon Brown. The contrast those 2 leathers create is simply amazing. Can't go wrong with either choice...just pick the one you like best based on your exterior color.

+1. I have Full Aragon leather on my M5 Comp, and while I don't think it's an absolute must...I certainly think it can help.

I use Gyeon Quartz...took me about 1.5 hours to make sure I completely covered all the leather on the seats, door panels, arm rest, steering wheel, etc. Doesn't leave any residue, smell, shine, etc. Can't tell it's there...and supposed to provide add'l coverage against marks.

Light interiors are tough! I don't have experience w/ Silverstone, but here's what I have in my Masi, which only comes out on Sunny weekends. Jeans are a problem and almost everything else.
I think it also depends on your usage, will it just be you or you hauling around kids, etc? I wouldn't even consider w/ kids. My M5 has black interior, cause its my DD and my Fam Dam of 5 w/ a Pug sometimes climb in!
