The next production allocation avail is aug/seo 19 and car to touch down nov/dec 19. Another option would be to get the non comp M5 with limited exterior colors and the avail interior colors are aragon brown and silverstone which i am not really interested in getting a non comp m5.

Should I wait for the aug/sep 19 production and get an interior color which is black but boring to me but durable or the silverstone which i do like but not hold out in the long term?

Tough decision and the wait is pretty darn long and i hate waiting!
Well here are my "M" light colored interiors.NEVER had a problem.

There is a coating for interior leather to minimise dye transfer. I got mine coated the 2nd day I collected my F90 Comp. I have Silverstone Merino Interior btw.

What’s the product’s name? I’ve got plenty of time to plan as the car is still in production; wish it would hurry up!

I know denim has a tendency to bleed into these seats, but what about other fabrics? I wear black scrubs daily made from cotton/poly. Think I'd have any issues? I'm specing a new F90 and would like silverstone full interior.

I've ordered it and am buzzing, can't wait! It's the first time I've strayed from black!

Me too. I've had black in almost every other car I've owned and this will be my 3rd m5 so figured I'd change it up. Would probably order red/sakhir orange if they offered it. Love red seats.

I absolutely love these interiors. Think they’re beautiful. But I would never want to own one. There may be those out there who trust themselves enough to care for them, and keep them looking good. I am not one of those people! 😂 Rule #1: know thyself, right?

My missus is horrified I've gone for the Silverstone as we have a 3 yr old!

I'm thinking some ceramic coating and regular cleaning should be ok?

Please tell me it will be ok?

I had it with 2 kids and never had a problem. I did have it "treated" which, IIRC, included ceramic coating. But seriously, I found the denim stains, grabbed a rag and some water and it rubbed right off.

Based on my experience: don't worry.

1.5 years on…. No problems with my silverstone seats.

I have cleaned them only once using Swissvax.

I had Silverstone in my 14 m5. Jeans leave a mark but regular shampoos keep it clean. After four year the leather looked great. No regrets although if you had to do it again think I would do some sort of ceramic coating of the interior.

Smoke white is a pure white whereas Platinum has a little beige in it.

Had silverstone merino on my 2018 and now in my 2021. I love it, and never had a problem with transference. I use chemical guys sprayable leather on my interior about every 3rd wash or so, and it looks the same as it did new. Just my .02

I just took delivery of my 22 M5C with silverstone interior. Love it!! Now my daughter's are calling my car the "cobra" car.

My detailer is recommending a Modesta leather protection product, but i'm wondering if it's really any different that just swissvax, chemical guys, Griot's Garage, etc.

Anyone ever use it?

I have silverstone in my car and I love it. Nearly 15k miles in and it looks mint. I have my car washed/detailed approx weekly and I'm pretty sure my guy just uses a damp cloth most of the time and a leather conditioner once in a while. I have four kids 6yrs and under and they periodically rotate through the car… no issues and no regrets.
