BMS F90 Elite Intake

I see they finally released their F90 Elite Intake. I know they've had it on their development F90 for several months as I've seen it first hand at the runway races. Looks good, sounds good, priced nicely. After tuning probably the next most beneficial mod for the platform.

CAI

What are the results of all the testing and durability. Would be interested to know if there are dyno results or any other hard numbers from the product experts at BMS.

+1 - money in hand if it does something worthy.

Agreed!!
Eventuri intake is covered from CF plus it has shield to stop the heat from transferring into intake.

This is the intake they used to run 10.2@136mph in the 1/4 mile with the JB4 and everything else stock and 166mph in the standing half mile. Similar to their F10 M5 intake design which has run 9s and been used in hundreds of very fast cars.

It retains the factory airbox bottom and ducting keeping temps down while removing the restrictive top half of the airbox allowing the turbos to work more efficiently. As a side effect it sound awesome.

I had the bms intakes on my f10 m5 and they were pure garbage , felt like the car was slower in the summer high heat due to heat soak. also threw codes sometimes . You get what you pay for!

I've never had any issues with my F10 BMS intake. The F90 M5 unlike the F10 M5 doesn't have MAF sensors so there is no chance of throwing codes even on old DME software. It's certainly on the lower cost of the intake scale but as I said performance has been solid and the look/sound is terrific.

Well, I’ve been waiting for this for awhile.. but it’s two short sections of pipe, two adapters, and two cone filters that sit right in the super hot engine bay, for $450.

A.) I don’t see what here justifies anywhere near this price, and

B.) In summer in Houston, leaving a cone filter in the engine bay is a recipe for super high IATs. I’m sure the turbo spool sounds awesome, but I’m going to have to pass I think

Intake temps have proven to be no worse than stock with this design. Which is easy for anyone to confirm with before and after testing via JB4 when installing.

The intake isn't going to be for everyone but it works as well as or better than any other F90 intake out there. The devil is in the details and retaining the factory airbox bottom and ducting makes a big difference with this specific design. Also makes it really easy to swap back and forth when needed.

Performance is good, sound is good, looks are good.

Maybe it's a little expensive but it's custom designed, bent, and welded 3.5" piping, powder coated, high quality inverted cone filters, special coupler adapters, and it's USA made. Given the low projected sales volume that is what they have to charge to make it a viable product.

We picked up around 1mph traps in the 1/4 but haven't done any dyno testing with it.

That's at least a car length in a race. Turbo spool up speed is improved too. Whether it's worth it is debatable but once you're tuned this is the next best bang for the buck in terms of performance.

I do believe that's what the website states are the dyno results.
