Akrapovic "Slip-on" (axleback) vs. M Performance

I'm looking at picking up a M5C and considering aftermarket exhaust options. At this point, I've narrowed to Akra and the MPE, however, the price differential is not insignificant:

MPE: $7400 CAD
Akra: $11,000 CAD for cat-back or $7700 for "Slip-on" (axle-back)

I'm already pushing my budget at $7400 for the MPE, so I would really only be in the market for the Akra axle-back option. I'm looking for insights/opinions on whether the standard M Sport Exhaust midpipe coupled with the Akra axle-back would sound louder and different enough from stock, or if a full cat-back is necessary to hear an appreciable difference.

Also, for those of you who have the MPE, what are your thoughts on how much is actually Titanium vs. SS or a mix? I know the Akra systems are supposed to be 100% Ti and the MPE is a mix (which you can see comparing the F80 M3 systems). Also, comments on craftsmanship of the MPE?

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at the Remus system? Great reviews and easier on the wallet.

I've had Akra on other cars and MP performance on this one and I absolutely love the exhaust. You would not be disappointed. I think an Akra axleback would be a waste of money.

Here a quick I made this winter when brand new. It's broken in now and sounds even better.

I had a windmuff over a microphone that I taped to the rear bumper.

I've never heard the Akra, but I have the MPE, and I love the build quality and sound. For that price difference, the MPE seems like the way to go.

> $11,000 CAD for cat-back

does this mean "full" exhaust?

It deletes the secondary cats, so you've still got the stock DPs and primary cats.

Cat-back typically means AFTER the secondary cats, not replacing the secondary cats. Are you sure the Akra deletes the secondary cats? Sounds unlikely.
