Any DME/VELOS stage 1/2 tune reviews?

Hello all,

I got a M5C on the boat should be here in a couple weeks; I already have ER upper and lower pipes in the closet.

Looking to do tune and seemed to have narrowed it down to DME or VELOS. Since I'm in FL those are my close options.

Would like to hear some reviews.

Also does anyone know if the top speed limiter can be coded off or that can only come off with a flash? I skipped on the 2.5k drivers/dynamic top speed crap.

I had bootmod3 on my x6m but it appears they arnt out yet for the f90 model.

Congrats on the car!!
First I would wait for break in period.
Most of us had issues at the beginning fuel pump, software, etc...
Guys still get CEL light showing up for no reason
After a few thousand miles I would tune.
You can add RC Chip first, which you can remove before servicing the car.

I personally had DME tune and you can have top speed limiter removed and get extra burble.

r33_RGSport can help you on RC Chip, great gain for $ and more safe!!!

Hey Miko where you able to do the cold start delete on your car with DME tuning? Some guys are saying that when you flash the DME , that a DME manipulation code appears and can't be cleared out? Thanks for your input my man, I am a new m5 member too! Loved your car btw!

New435iguy Congrats on your car too my man!!

You are welcome!
Yes, you can remove cold start but I kept it.
The best part is the start
I heard that the cold start is not only to heat cats but other things too.
So you can remove it and I believe you can change the time too.... reduce cold start.

BTW both down pipes removed and the car is brutally loud!!!

Thanks for the response.

But ultimately what felt faster/better? race chip or DME?
TBH I had JB4 before I had bootmod on my x6m, and jb4 ate the motor up( I was running map 2 all the time and i think it may have been to much for that engine). I was LUCKILY able to get it replaced under warranty; at 25k miles they found metal shavings in the oil pan during an oil change.

so its tomato tomotaaa for me.
