but for a dash unit, you need a mirror tap, or to stick it somewhere on the windshield. |

Radenso Pro M here.
It works very well and is very small compared to other window mount detectors. My car is a lease, so I did not bother with an installed system. |

Super clean and the radar itself is tiny which does not make it stand out like larger radars in the cockpit.

Blendmount and mirrortap. V1 Gen 2 until/if Theia ever comes out. Company has been blaming covid for being 2 years behind schedule but only time can tell.
Been running them in conjunction with Waze. Usually I get a blip a mile or so out and my eyes immediately go to Waze to see if anyone has been spotted.

Waze by it self is okay but has so many false reports in my area. Or the police is already gone or got someone else. By watching the radar, then checking waze- I can make sure it's not a false alarm when it's confirmed by both. |

Blendmount with mirror tap is good. There is a cheaper alternative to Blendmount but it did not look as good to me. There are copies of mirror tap that should be fine. Separating the plastic mirror frame is a little tricky and you can break a tab if not careful.

I had originally bought a cheaper mirror mount that was not a Blendmount and it was a mistake. The mount went all the way around the mirror arm which made it interfere with the full movement of the mirror and I was unable to adjust the mirror to the position that I wanted. I removed it and went with the Blendmount and have never looked back.

I have a Uniden R7 with a mirror tap, and used the stock suction cups to install right under my windshield, to the left of the mirror and behind the visor.
Looks and works great! Refer to the mirror tap thread for more info, but it was a difficult install mainly due to taking the mirror cover off, and I broke a tab but have had zero issues with noise, vibrations or fit. |

I use a combination of Waze, a Uniden R3, and Valentine V1. The police (state and local) still use radar and routinely patrol with their Ka on so it provides an insight that a unit is close by. I also have an ALP setup on one of the cars which has been decent in performance. Disclaimer- I always drive the posted speed limit and only speed on an enclosed track or when in Mexico..haha

ALP for laser detection and jamming, plus integrated radar detector of choice. No visible interior components, just smartphone app.

Appreciate everyones thoughts. i'm actually having an issue maybe someone can offer advice on. I just picked up a 19 M5Comp. I installed my escort max on a blendmount as i've had in 2 previous cars. without issue. but with this car the laser alert is going off every 2 mins. not sure if there's a safety system i can turn off or something or a different mounting point but it's unbearable. appreciate any thoughts.
