1 armor. They did a fantastic job, can't even tell unless you get really really close to the inside seams.

So a great review of the best M5 released was transformed into a discussion related mainly to nonsense 😁
Of course, CS models are not for everyone and the exclusivity of owning one can make the owners much more proud of their purchase

Do you own some or are they your dad's? I have a few at home and the CS is probably the fastest car out of my three in 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. Also has the best sound system of the three and nicest interior. All around a superb car the M5 CS is without a doubt. But for emotional and special experience, my Speciale and gated R8 twin turbo are an entirely different league. But it doesn't make the M5 CS any less special as I think it is the best sedan in the world right now and can put a lot of supercars and sports cars to shame on a back road with the right driver. I bet the average person would be faster on a back road in the CS than a lot of supercars.

The reviews say that it is better all around than the M5 Comp, yet people who have never driven the CS claim that can't be possible. Sounds more like sour grapes than anything else.

Personally, I don't claim that it is better than the standard M5 or the Comp because I have had very little seat time in those cars. All I know is that I absolutely love my M5 CS. It is an all around fantastic performer.

I like how he compared it to the E39 M5. that was a great car and I absolutely loved it. The Madonna movie was just icing on the cake as well back then.

He is also right about the engine sound. It is just too quiet. I'm over 3,000 miles now and it has opened up a bit, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
I agree with you. I have an M5C and absolutely love it every time I drive it. Just got a 992 GT3 and still love the M5C on the street. Haven't driven the CS yet but I'm believing all the positive reviews. So much so that I'm ready to trade in the C for a CS. What is it though exactly that makes the CS such an improvement from the C? I know a bit more HP and torque but that alone can't make for such a big difference. For those of you that own the CS, please explain.

Looks like an amazing car, I would absolutely love to own one but it kind of made me think who is this car aimed at? Nurburgring Taxi laps?

The bucket Seats in an M5 are a bit strange, especially in the back. The thing I loved about my old E39 M5 was that I could drive my parents to Church in complete civility, and it looked like a normal BMW to ordinary folks, and then I could really open up the taps when I felt like it. The classic wolf
In sheeps clothing. The buckets make this car feel like it's trying too hard a little bit.

Don't get me wrong, very cool car but I just wonder who is the car really aimed at and what real world use do they get out of it.

Me. Would be perfect for my family. My 11 year old son would love his bucket seat in the back as I would in the front. My 14 year old daughter would hate it and my wife wouldn't be thrilled, but she would like it better than the manual shifting in my M2 CS.

The only downside I see to the CS upgrade in the M5 is that you lose a little practicality and maybe a little luxury. In the M2, besides the armrest, it's all positive improvements.

Let's be honest, nobody wants to haul 3 adults in the back of an M5. It's a very cool 4 door, 4 seater. Get the X7 if you need more seating.

Unless I can find one at MSRP and get my wife to trade in her X5, the M5 CS is not on the cards for me this year. Both are extremely long shots.

I mean classic rich kid who talks a ton of shit bc daddy let him drive the stable, and let him mod some car to 1,500 hp when he was 19. Now everything is slow, boring, and dumb. And you're a f*cking moron if you don't agree. Good for your dad, dude!

I mean, me? I haven't owned an m5 since the e60, so it should be a nice ride. Sold my X5MC (bc the used market deemed it a good decision) and ordered one. I started my car career with a Mercury with no traction control, so anything more sophisticated than that is a PLUS.

Had all the comforts in the last few cars, figured I don't really need them for a few years. Hearing all the *boomer gobbles* about why this car sucks just makes you look bitter about something. If it's uncomfortable, overpriced, lame, a scam, then good for you! You're a genius for not falling for it! ITS GONNA BE OKAY! Applause goes to you.

But when it comes time to sell it after I'm done driving it a few miles, and I break even or even make a couple bucks, that'll be okay too.

It's not a supercar unless an oil change costs $7500, it leaves you stranded on the side of the road a few times per year, and must at all times be connected to a trickle charger.

Exactly. This is a superb machine & many agree this the best 4 door saloon for a true driver!

So oil change cost of 911 Turbo S / GT3 is $7500 or 911 Turbo S / GT3 are not super car either?

When we talk super cars we need to be specific on what we mean by that. I feel that a lot of people equate super car with exotic + light weight. The Mclaren is beautiful rocket ship but the interior quality is garbage. If I had a qrt mill for a exotic I'll go with with a Ferrari F8 but I would rather have a 911 turbo S over all exotics. As far as the M5CS straight line speed it's super car territory there's no denying that. Daily driving practicality taken into account M5C & M8 is a brilliant choice. I still can't believe this thread turned into a dispute of "is the M5CS a super car"

In my humble opinion, no the Turbo S is not a supercar. I'd say the GT2RS might be considered one.

Then you get into the even blurrier line between supercar and hypercar. I'd say the Porsche 918 sits in that line (leaning to hypercar).

Good try at that joke (again)

I've had a 600LT and now a 720s on the way. My dad doesn't and wouldn't own any supercar.

I thought these guys did a great job on the video and I think that is being lost on all the comments here. Everyone has a different definition of what a Supercar is and that is fine.
