Software Update Issue?

Software Update question:

Did anybody update the software and lose the pre-seat heating and cooling at various temperatures option?

Separately I had to re-set my M1 and M2 buttons which is stupid.

I recently updated, and my seat and steering wheel was warming as it should after that.

there was also an update which removed the ability to have two blue tooth devices connected at the same time. IE One for Phone and one for music. My dad usually has a iPod Nano for music and then his phone. Those bastards removed that ability for no apparent reason. I hate updates. I only do them when there is a functional NEED from the new update.

The latest update? I did it Friday and had no issues with separate devices connected at the same time for AA and Bluetooth music today

was within the past few months, my dad has a 2018 M5. I have not taken a minute to check out mine, I have used separate devices a few times (kids phone for music, my phone for telephone). I'll check it out later. have other garage work to do today. time to change over the tractor to snow blower mode.

I'm happy to hear that I wasn't the only one that seemed to be surprised this morning with this as well.

Makes you wonder what the point of an "upgrade" is if you just get reverted back to delivery day?

I had to recode everything from bimmercode as well

Sometimes the updates can corrupt certain save files.

Usually this can be corrected after the key you use with your saved settings had entered and left the car a few times.

Ive just done the software update. I have an older i phone 6, which wont charge on the charging mat, as that is for i phone 7 onwards, so plug the phone into the USB port, to keep the phone charged, whilst listening to my spotify, on my phone. Just noticed today, that when i now plug my phone into the USB port, the audio will not play anymore, but if i unplug the phone, it still connects through bluetooth, and will play the music. Ive tried all i know to sort it, but it just wont play as before the update. Any ideas ?

Here's a question regarding software updates for a 2020 MY how do you update? The 2020 unfortunately is stuck in a very weird spot because it actually has ID7 but it's not fully functional like it is in the LCI. The BMW websites says it will update OTA but the 2020 actually doesn't have the hardware to do so. I don't know how to update my car.

Hello Jesus, does your car indicate a update is necessary? My wife has a 2018 and the updates are performed at the dealership. Have you asked the dealership?

Hi, my M5 does not indicate an update is needed. I have already asked the dealer and they said that they don't do software updates unless it's required to fix a problem.

So I spoke with BMW rep who also received the same error message above and said the only option is to schedule appointment with SA but there may be a cost?
I asked her to email me the update instead and says that she can not do that.
