Wouldn't ceramic coating be way cheaper option to combat that problem?

Also, wouldn't it be a problem when you go to remove xpel film? Especially if it is water based paint
Would be cheaper, but def not as effective. PPF has hydrophobic properties as well as protection from the elements, rocks, birdshit, etc.

Ceramic is good but I doubt that a coating would be better in protection than a mils thick self healing plastic coating. You can watch the videos of dudes dragging car panels on the ground with PPF, revealing later the paint is fine and idk if you can do that with ceramic.

Ceramic also wears off, needing new applications every year (?) or so, and to the guys saying it binds with the paint, I'm pretty sure the older/cheaper stuff is a lot more ability-limited than the new tech companies like XPEL,suntek or STEK. I think that's also the case if you plan to keep your cars for a long time (10yrs+) you should prob change out the PPF every so often anyway if you're holding for that long. I don't think the self healing will work forever.

All of the edges were wrapped/tucked so I am not sure why panel removal would be necessary.
Did you have one armor do yours? Mine is there right now and I'm anxiously awaiting delivery.

Mine is going back for the touch up next week. I have a few areas that need attention. Normal in my experience. Expecting they can do while I wait………

No, I had another shop do it (and got a full refund because it need to be totally redone). Let me know how your car comes out. I'd love to see it.

Got it see it today, looks minty fresh so far. I'm getting it ceramic coated too. I gotta say the car is really quiet. I have some secondary deletes to throw on there to hopefully make it a bit more lively, but barring that a m-performance exhaust is in it's future.

Yeah, I was really disappointed with the exhaust. I'm around 2,500 miles and it has opened up and gotten louder, but it feels like this car should have come with the performance exhaust on it.
