M5CS Owners Thread

I searched and didn't see a official CS owners thread - was hoping we can get one going to discuss ordering timeframes, any good stories about getting an allocation, a place to post pictures, etc.

All M5s are special and incredibly well engineered, but the CS does take it to another level.

Hoping to see mine in early 2022, Frozen Green with the red calipers. All 3 colors look very nice.

My build starts week 47 and dealer says delivery is third week of January. Went with the Frozen Brands Hatch Grey. Currently have the 2019 M5C. Wife’s X6M comes in next week.

I was a little bummed the CS didn't come with the SurroundView cameras for parking, rear-view camera only.

You guys are still having CS built, meanwhile Canada received 25 a while back and that is it… shitty for us.

It's going to significantly increase the risk of curb rash during parallel parking which will show like a sore on the gold rims - I've come to rely on the awesome parking cameras on the M5C. Praying I remember my old parallel park tricks….

I parallel park all the time and have never used a camera to avoid curb rash. Just turn your tilt mirror on and you're golden. Unless the CS doesn't have that. I'd be mad if that was the case.

Anyone planning to change the wheels? I know they're forged, wondering how light they are?

I'd love to run some gold BBS on there. Just don't want to ADD weight…

No official word yet. My guess is that we won't know until the production year is over.

I think the number floating around the internet is 400(ish).

I've heard 381 from BMW NYC. But you know how that goes.

Not sure how official the information, but I've seen somewhere on this forum that numbers are now capped at 429 instead of 439. I wonder if it's due to supply issues.

Yes someone mentioned on the Pricing/Ordering sub-forum BMW may drop the supply to under 400.

The supply chain issue is a hot mess with cars. I will be thankful if we see all that was planned.

^^^Manthey, yes, I believe they commissioned these BBS wheels for GT3 and GT3RS. Different styles between the two but both amazing, although I prefer mine because they have one less spoke (6 vs 7) and, to my eyes, look cleaner and more elegant. Makes the forged aluminum M5 wheel feel like led.

Let me know how you like them (not trying to threadjack sorry) but I have Manthey/KW Suspension and Brake package on my GT3 Touring… love it and was thinking of moving to the BBS 6 spoke setup (I hear they are horribly backordered on the 7 spoke).
