Advice Please: Bought my car from Sytner in April 2021 and now it needs a service

Advice please guys

I have to say Sytner are rubbish. My car was delivered without being cleaned and had cosmetic body damage on it (scratches and scuffs on multiple panels). Now it seems they didn't even give it an oil service.

Can you please confirm if they should have serviced the car fully? I find it odd that the car needs a £800 plus service after only 4 months of ownership.

Thank you

Was that Chigwell by any chance?. I would send it back and tell them to rectify all the faults and service it.

Your in London right?, Chigwell are good, Charles in sales is leaving but he is very helpful, could be worth a call.

Its not the 1200 mile running in service I guess.
If so it does seem a bit off to require a service so soon.

It is not a new , cars new don't usually get delivered with body damage.

It says in the AUC literature that a car will be serviced if needed in less than 6k miles. Now given the moving goalposts of variable servicing, it might be difficult to prove that as merely doing less than 6k miles since collection will not suffice....

Sytner responded saying they only deal with services 4 months from the date of sale. As this is an August service and I bought the car at the end of March, no joy.

If these are infected infected rules, bmw are miles behind porsche when it comes to servicing.
