M5 F90 M View not available

Hi,

I have an F90 M5 2020 model (Not LCI) but with iDrive 7. But I don't have the M View that's available in other iDrive 7 cars?

Any idea how to get it?

The 2020 doesn't have this view. Only the Lci has it. Bummer I know.

Is there a way to get this view in the LCI dash display without the HUD defaulting to the large RPM gauge?

You can have the HUD in reduced size, if you look in the I Drive. You can also switch the HUD off altogether. I have the HUD on one of the favourite buttons, so i can switch it on and off at will, especially at night.

The 2020 has iDrive 7 Lite. Newer gauges w/o M Display, same 10.25" screen but with the new 7 interface. Also does not have OTA updates. 2021+ has full iDrive 7.

Thank you. I hadn't noticed the "reduced height" box way at the bottom of the menu. Much better.

I know I'm not going crazy, and that I've always missed a fourth setting in the M menu.

But what is the 4th setting underneath the steering response settings on the right tach.

I'm 99.999% sure the F90 only has 3 settings in the M menu

Looks like brake response setting, weird never seen that one, but that is an M8 maybe thats why

I thought only lci got the full digital dash? Or is it just a really late build 2020 model year car that somehow got the digital dash?

all 2020 got the new digital display and new steering wheel.

it's misleading on the bmw website but yes only m8's have this it seems... I thought m5's had it too, but I guess only the m8 i drove had it now that i think about it and I just figured it was an LCI thing since the m5's i drove were all 2020s and 2019s.

I read this press release which makes it seem the m5 has it too,, but I guess not haha
