Michelin PS4 BMW Star vs. non-Star

It's time to finally switch these terrible Perilli's out and making the switch over to Michelin. The only issue is that my tire guy cannot find the BMW * version of the PS4s for the front set, only the standard MPS4s. Will I notice a difference if I don't go with the BMW * PS4Ss?

Tire Rack claims to have 8 in stock for the front with more expected next week.

At least one YouTube reviewer has done a program highlighting how BMW works extensively with Michelin to customize the PS4S tires versus the generic version.

For the front, the BMW * tire is 1 pound lighter and 0.3" narrower at the tread than the generic.

Based on the above factors, it is likely that you would notice some difference, but it is not clear what the difference would be (good or bad).

Here is the link that was mentioned earlier. It’s an interesting review of the * vs standard in an M3.

Got these bad boys put on this weekend and they blow the Perilli's out of the water. So much more confidence on hard turns.

its night and day difference have had pirles for 10000 miles and the 4s star for 1000 its literally astronomical difference 4s star is lighter less noise better turning and grip and more balance
