Quite an interesting issue that I'm having trouble figuring out on my 18 M5. I can rearrange the tiles into the order of my choosing, and sometimes they will stay as such for a day, or two, or three, and then revert to the default order/arrangement.

Anyone else notice this and know why it is occurring?

IE I like Media | Weather | Vehicle Status

and it reverts to Media | Communication | Navigation whenever it feels like it from one drive cycle to the next ( never during operation )

Do you use the same car key every time?
The settings are saved to the key.

Yeah, for sure. I assumed it was a key setting but wasn't sure. The 2nd key in kept far far away from the car in my safe so I know its not that.

I had the same issue on my ‘18.

Randomly like once every few months.

Never figured it out since it was so sporadic.

Do you have another BMW, with BMW driver profiles ?.

My wifes F15, but I never drive her car and it will often do it when I'm at work. I can't see how they could possibly share profile stuff between them, doubly so since they use different idrive versions.

I had a headscratching month, when i got my M5, and set the driver profile up to my liking. I had ticked the synchronize box in the driver profile settings, which then sets the car up in exactly the same way, in every BMW, so as i got out the X5 and into the M5, and vice versa, the i drive changed its set up etc. Took me ages to work it out. This may not be your problem, but was worth a shout.

I'm going to have to poke around to find that menu, wasn't aware this was even a thing... I do work at a Independent BMW Specialist as well, surrounded by other BMW's throughout the day, but I just can't wrap my head around how this would cross pollinate when my key never leaves my desk drawer during the work day.
