M Door Projectors Underwhelming

I am not sure if there happens to be something wrong with the ones I bought or this is just how BMW's projectors are but they are so much weaker than the ones on my Audi. These are the M projectors from BMW, I was expecting the colors to be bright like the Audi's but they are far from it. Is this just what they look like?

I almost think yours look better and they were probably an 8th of the cost

I think it's because the Audi units were intended to be projectors whereas the ones on the M5 were intended to be just lights but have been converted into a logo projectors. Just a thought...

Confirm that mine are just as garbage as posted above.

I can only see mine when it's pitch black outside, and in those rare occasions I actually freak out by those lights, as I actually completely forget about them, as they shine so poorly…

Stumbled across this website www.addcarlights.com and saw they advertised actual LED projectors and the pictures looked pretty good. Decided to get them a try for $40-50 and they crap all over the OEM ones from BMW. You can see these vs the OEM in the pictures attached. So far very happy with these.

Wow, night and day difference between them.

Glad I found this thread. Guess I'll save the $210 for the OEM parts when I'm finally able to order mine.

Which model did you order? Model A looks like the correct model, but the website also says Model D fits the M5 through 2022 MY. Thanks!

Yes, they said Model D was the correct one for the F90 M5, but I looked and the OEM ones I have look like the Modal A - slightly longer than the Modal D with the lens off-center.

The website now says that:
Model A fits 2003-2020 M5
Model D fits 2021-2022 M5

Wish you could order multiple lenses. I like the full text mperformance with the swooping lines but I also like the basic m performance one.
