Black boot badge.

Looking on Real OEM looks like the standard M5 does have a black boot lid badge option from BMW. Would that be correct?

Assuming the only way to do it is by an M5 comp badge a chuck the comp section??

I just bought the OEM Comp and left the comp part off. Simples!

There are a few copies of these around but its a cheap change so for me not worth the hassle and simply bought the comp one in black

Yep, I just used half a comp badge. I was going to put a 514d badge on but my wife claimed that was too nerdy
