Knowing what build week is tied to your allocation might be helpful in causing worries to wane. Do you know? And were you given a production number yet?

Mine flipped back and forth several times before I through the towel in.

Here's the relevant portion of my timeline in case it's of any help.

March 8, 2022 - Build In (Submitted To BMW AG by CA
March 15, 2022 - Production Number Received From CA
March 15, 2022 - Plugged In Production Number to BMW MyGarage

March 15, 2022 - Status Shows "Order Received"

March 25, 2022 - Status Shows "Scheduled For daily Production pack"

April 4, 2022 - Status Regresses to "Order Received"

April 7, 2022 - Status Shows "Scheduled For Production"

May 3, 2022 - Reached Out To CA to switch from 50th Anniversary emblems to standard emblems

May 6, 2022 - Status Regresses to "Order Received"

Stay strong lol and good luck!
Yeah, I was given a production number and able to track it my BWM garage. My dealership said it is schedule for production on wee of 27 June, fingers crossed I hope they're right. Yes that timeline helps! I just need to stop checking BMW MyGarage everyday

So happy to hear, at least you're locked in to start relatively soon! It is definitely possible that your scheduled week will hold despite having a status regression so close to your build week. It's happened to many on here!

As I've mentioned on the forum before, as well as specifically in this thread (I think), MyGarage is both a blessing and a curse. I was literally checking it hourly at one point. So glad those days are behind me.

Keep us posted!

I'm in the same boat. Have a 22 allocation with production number, was scheduled for production week 26, just saw yesterday the status regressed to "order received" with no production week. Reached out to BMW and the genius had zero information.

My week 26 became 31, then 36, then 41. Some Week 26ers here blew through production, and some got pushed further and further out. Did you ask the Genius specifically what your newly scheduled production week was? I found it helps to ask them a specific question like that. I have never had them disclose what caused a delay, but they were able to tell me at least what production week I was pushed to each time I asked.

Thanks, I called yesterday and they said there was no assigned production week. Said it could take days or weeks for them to provide the new date. Let's see what happens. I've been looking for something on the lot but I'm really set on tanzanite blue and for some reason all the M5s I find for sale are black or grey.

Update: just got a call from my CA, BMW pushed my build to July making it a 23 build. Luckily my dealer is honoring the original price agreed upon and will not charge the msrp increase for MY23.

If you have an Individual Color you can expect some delays and status regression. These colors are batch produced and often times the root of many delays.

Here is my timeline:

Sorry to hear that but it's awesome that your dealer is honoring the MY22 price. Oh man, I really hope that doesn't happen to me. I was really looking forward to 22 model 50th year edition emblems and saving some money from MY23 price increase.

I found that the dealer cars tend to be a little more "typical" color wise. I've definitely seen some less common colors on dealer lots, but I think it's certainly not the norm.

The delay sucks, but at least your '23 will be worth more if/when you decide to get rid of it!

You can always add the emblems after delivery!

Not my style, if the badge didn't come OEM with the car then I am not adding it. I will be ok with the regular BMW badge as well, it's not a deal breaker. I just hope that my dealership is cool with honoring the MY22 price for a MY23 lol But I am still hopeful that my build will be a 22 since I haven't heard from my dealership

Despite my suggestion I'm with you 100% on this and I would never personally change it. In fact, my ordered car came with them by default, and I asked them to make a change to the standard ones because I didn't want the car to look like it had after market ones. It caused a five week delay in production. The car that I acquired did end up coming with them, and I think they look great in person, however.

Honoring the price would be my biggest concern at the moment. Did you sign a P+SA reflecting the deal you originally worked out? And did you put down any form of deposit?

Posting this just to give people perspective if they want it as I haven’t posted much recently. My week 22 build is at the port waiting for the ferry. It has been there for almost a week. Hope it leaves soon.

Week 20 build for me. At port May 31st, and still there. Headed to Baltimore. Any one else at port?

I agree, I saw an F90 with the 50th year anniversary and it looked great on the car. I did put a refundable deposit and signed a form with the dealer for the quoted price. Hopefully my build doesn't get pushed to MY23. I will keep you updated.

Hopefully you're with a reputable dealer that will honor your existing deal on their own volition, especially since it's secured with a deposit. Of course, laws vary from state to state, but you may have a legally binding and enforceable contract that would require the dealership to honor its deal, or otherwise be subject to damages.

I was in this boat … I ordered a 21' and ended up having to go with a 22' as BMW would not allow modification of the Production # to accommodate Individual color.

Dealer honored the 21' pricing so it is certainly possible although I suppose each dealer deals with these situations differently.

Something to consider is the lock-in period is only 90 days so you run the risk of changes to RV and MF which can ultimately change what your payment looks like. My dealer worked with me on this as well as my car took almost a year.

Good luck and take your patience pills!

I just talked with my Client Advisor and he said that my car's build schedule has not change But it's not guaranteed that it can't get pushed back. He said once a Chassis number is attached to my vehicle, then it means it's in production and will be a lot easier to monitor.
