If you are getting the M5 for launch control, my advice is to find a different car.

I do not care about LC, as long as I can put it in sport settings and stomp the throttle without it bogging down, i will be fine

I believed that the 2021 LCI M5 came with M8 Dampers, and the M8s gearbox and software ?, to eliminate this potential problem ?.

Here, our man hits 0-60 mph in 2.9 secs in less than ideal conditions.

You don't need to post this question in every thread you find. As you see they all go the same place.

Did the price of the M5 Competition JUST go up another $2k this month? I rebuilt a car in the configurator and it's at least $2k more yesterday. I noticed no one has mentioned it on the forum so I'm wondering what the exact price increase was. If our car is on a ship heading here and we signed an order agreement months ago, we should be good, right? They won't apply the new price increase to the car we agreed on and put a deposit on? Thx.

I don't have the answer to your first question as to whether the price went up. However, your second question depends on whether you signed a P+SA based on an agreed upon, already structured deal. If you did, the increase, if there is one, will not affect you. If you did not, the dealer may give it you at the previous price, but may not if they don't want to, and are certainly not required to. This is the general rule of cars ordered as opposed to purchased off the lot.

When I placed an order for my second M5, the deal was negotiated and the P+SA signed on the day I submitted my build code to the dealer, which was the day they submitted the order to BMW, but only after the deal was finalized.

Have you asked the dealership where you ordered the car?

It did go up by $2k. Was $107,900 base before and now it's $109,900.

Thanks all. $2K increase? Cool. We signed an order to buy the car for a certain amount 3 mos ago and we won't pay more so the dealership will have to deal with this or we'll walk. We'll go in person in 30+ days when the car is at our dealer, it's at the port now here in Baltimore. All is good. I'll post pics when we get it.

Just read the order you signed to see if it is a contract for a certain car at a certain price.

I think the pre-LCI look still wins for me, but the new red color is nice. I am just not convinced the old front bumper needed any updates.
