We knew this was coming, between US and German mandates (Germany being the worst offender), we get bloated cars with complicated drivetrain tech. No way I would own this out of warranty.

The design is not great at all. I am glad BMW fired the head designer, hopefully in the next round of cars we'll see some positive change. For six figures, this doesn't make me excited or happy at all.

I got a M5CS for this very reason, unfortunately. Change is not always bad, but this is not good, either.

Something I had not considered was that many European center cities are banning ICE engines entirely. While I assumed we were just moving towards better MPGs with these hybrids, another benefit is that you can put these cars in electric only mode and still be able to travel into these Euro cities and meet their regulations.

I don't think the small EV motor is 1000lbs, so not sure why the weight had to go up so much...

Correct but i have read some articles that states that only “zero” emissions vehicles would be allowed in these zones so no hybrids absolute insanity.

Lmao. That is too funny. Like seriously lmao how obsurd some of these people are getting over ice, thinking they’re gonna save the planet with their angry overreactions when 75% of the world doesnt give 2 shits about emissions and has 0 regulations. Looking at you china, India, Russia, etc.

Yeah LoL!
The funny thing is that the electric cars probably won’t be excluded either for so long.
There been talks about other emissions too like tire dust and brake dust and particles that being thrown around in the air from the tires.
Generally electric vehicles tend to produce more tire dust and road particles because of their higher weight and high responsive torque.

So this is only the beginning look up 15 minutes citys there is push for no personal transportation at all.

But this has been going on for some time where i live i noticed a change around the millennium shift.

My thoughts exactly. I took my 2019 M5C in for a service and ended up ordering a 2025 F91 M8 Competiton. I know it doesn't make sense financially; the trade-in difference would pay for a lot of out of warranty repairs, but I also know we are rapidly coming to the end of an era when ICE will no longer be available and hybrid's and EV's will be all we will be able to buy.

They gave me a i4 as a loaner. It was interesting and I know it's not even close to being in the same market, but electric is not my cup of tea. I love the sound and the power of the F9x drivetrain, and I kept waiting for the EV to shift gears and push me back in my seat. When I got back in my M5C and hit the starter button I found I had a smile on my face!

1,200 pounds heavier, I don't care for the styling and slower, no thanks.

I hope they give you a sizeable discount on the car! I entertained the idea of a M8 GC buuut I want it with the carbon bucket seats. Which seems tough to find on the used market haha. Would need to order one with it, however I won't order one new cause the dealer won't be able to discount a new one enough for me.

💯

If my choices were M8 or G90/G99 it would be M8 all day and it’s not close … for all of the reasons you’ve cited.
