It may be related to your market. BMW offers different features and options by market i.e My Trips Canada shows MPG but UK shows litres per 100 miles, yet UK typically uses MPG.

Maybe some markets don’t even get the MY Trips feature yet.

Some friends with G20s (and RSU) have received this feature recently so it is available in my market. I guess it is related to the RSU thing.

I can't help, but feel this is another iDrive 7 "lite" shaft from BMW.

Well, contrary to Connected Drive Technical saying my version 21.03 needed to be upgraded, My Trips has appeared.
The option to tick the Data Privacy box in both iDrive and the App is now available.
Will report back if working.

BTW is your app syncing correctly? I see the sync are not really good on mine (partially maybe because some of the time the car is in underground garage without network coverage). But even when I'm outside and for example try to start the air con it took like 30 seconds or more to make it happen. Also still don't sync properly the mileage or charges for example lol

Is there anything you did to make it appear? Currently back and forth with the connected drive team. Mine is pre-LCI (just) and so iDrive 7 Lite, is yours the same?

I've updated apps and rebooted the iDrive several times to no avail.

So , I have a 2022 , fresh off the boat with trips not working.

All set up by the dealer at handover , permissions granted, etc,etc and still no trips visible.

App just says permission not granted and suggests accepting the privacy settings ... which are all ticked ok..

Tried deleting the app on the phone .. no good.
updating the apps in the car , idrive reset.... all no different.

Yesterday when getting into the car before starting the engine I selected my profile on the idrive screen. The screen asked if I wanted to change my profile to my name (I only have 1 profile anyway) , accepted ,,, new privacy notice ... acccepted again and boom. trips working.

I usually wouldnt select a profile when getting in the car , usually just get in and push the button to start.

Maybe it persuaded it to work... Maybe it was ready to work anyway.

Don't know but it works so I'm happy.

I think i will just hard reset the idrive7 and select profile everytime I get into the car or switch off until this thing shows up some day, starting this weekend

Do you see an icon in the iDrive apps screen ?
Like you see for Laptimer, Safety Cameras etc.

What type of iDrive resets you guys know? I read somewhere that holding down the power button for 30 seconds is different than holding down for 1'30".

BMW technical have come back to say that my car (built May 2021) has SP15 and you need SP18 or SP21 for my trips to work. I'm not sure how I check or if anyway else can confirm or deny.

If yours is a pre-LCI then you have SP15. That is hardware and not software related. I am not sure though that the LCI's have SP18 though. There were some posts going back and forth whether or not LCI's were on SP18. Though I thought I read in this post someone with a pre-LCI got MyTrips to working.
