Steels are noisy and produce a ton of dust. I've had both steels and CCB's on this platform and CCB's are superior for street use, in my opinion, for many different reasons.

For them to work they need heat or high temperatures. You live in Miami, so i guess you do not have snow in Miami as we do here in Munich in winter. As i can see OP lives in Austin, which has hot summers and mild winters. So maybe he wont have that problem. But i have seen a porsche driver who has just collected his new porsche with CCB and when he approached a red light his brakes did not have enough temperature to work properly and he ended up in the back of the car in front of him. Also you should talk to your dealer about the replacement costs after for example 50.000 miles. CCB are signifacant more expensive to replace. |
