Apparently all of us '11 335is owners have the same problem!
None of us have the Honk or Light flash option!

Is there any 335is owner here who has it ?

Honestly more than those two features I'd like to have the vent control exactly the way it works in the UK.

i just got the Remote-v1.0.3-xfibre2 ipa file loaded up and it worked, however no honk or flashing lights... what gives

If you check the iTunes description on the UK Apple store, it lists the features for each series of BMW. The 3 series only gets door unlock, car locator, and send destination to iDrive. The others models get more features.

It should, I have an 09 E92 without idrive, and it works perfectly, it even got my car info exactly correct on that car display picture window (atlantic blue with cream beige, zsp wheels), even my bmwfs account page on BMWusa.com couldn't get that correctly!

the only downside is that it won't display my car location if i'm more than a mile radius from it, telling me it's for "privacy" reasons, I'd really like to disable that warning! Mainly cauz I forget where I park all the time, and then end up running around in circles...

I tried to set up an itunes account in the UK this morning and there is no option for "none" under the credit card section. Anyone know how I still get this app for my iphone?

I finally figured out the Itunes part. You need to register with the Apps store. This link should help:

The apps itself is cool but the two functionalities are lock/unlock and locate your vehicle for now. Hope BMW open up more options

I have bmw assist for 1 year.
But I didn't pay for the concierge service yet. not sure that I will. $200 per yr?

Can I get this app to work for me?
B/c they said I can't use the google -> car feature at all without concierge.

If I can use it, and I've read all 3 pages here sorry, do I need to go to the uk app store? DL and sync it the app to the iphone or to my usa itunes first?

You do not need concierge service to use the MY BMW Remote apps.

Yes, you will need to download the apps using an UK itunes account. Remembered, to follow the steps below to create an UK account without a credit card:

Once you created the account, just download the apps. Ater that, just connect your iphone to your computer and it should dl the apps for you.

The next big thing is remembered your BMW assist user name (email address) and password.

Is he the original owner? The user and password should be on your original paperwork. It took me a couple of tries typing in the same password for it to work too. Best of luck to you

Yep
Its a 2011 550i..his going to try to call the dealer tom and ask. He doesn't recall getting any paperwork that has to due with bmw assit.
